weekend music around Boston

First, to slightly paraphrase a friend's brilliant post --

On Friday, Jan 22, Kim Boekbinder, fabulous solo artist and member of Vermillion Lies, is playing with Kayla Oberlin at the Lily Pad in Cambridge.

doors at 7pm, show starts at 7:30pm, $10. you should all come.

And then, on Saturday in Boston, Berklee’s Cafe 939 hosts HUMANWINE, Mighty Tiny, and Laura Jorgensen. $10. 8pm posted showtime; tickets on sale at the door at 7pm, or 10am-6pm at the Berklee Performance Center box office, or via TicketMonster if you don't mind the surcharges.

Of these, I've only seen Kim and HUMANWINE before, but they're more than enough reason to go, even if you skip the rest.

These are both great venues. Let me know if I should see you at either -- dinner or drinks may lead or follow!
