banishing the sluggishness...

yesterday was a true slug day.

I woke around noon, ate something, putzed with my email and other such electronic communications for a bit, and I think I watched Friday's Dr Who... by 4, I realized I was re-reading the same sentence for the umpteenth time, and decided to shift from the couch to the bed, where I promptly blacked out for a few hours.

semi-awake again around 7, a bit more electronic putzing, and some teevee, but no real brain function, and I was back in bed by midnight.

today, I awoke around 10:30, still with only light brain function, enough to read a bit and to realize that my network connection had gone strangely flaky overnight, and several things had to be restarted and convinced that yes, in fact, the net was back....

now, it's a bit after noon, and I'm actually hungry, with a craving for eggs and bacon and such like that. I've decided on The Neighborhood in Union Square, and expect to get there between 12:45 and 1pm. I'd love to have company, but I have no oomph to start calling one-by-one to find out who's around and energetic and all that. So if you see this, and want to join me, please do. I expect to be there until at least 2:00, with a book if no other companion.

from there, I believe I'll be hitting BJs as I've run out of several random snacks (no chocolate, no soda, no juice! this is calamitous!). the rest of the day is as yet unplanned -- so feel free to ping me here or wherever if you've an idea. if company doesn't surface during brunch, I should be returning home by 4.
