Saturday, EarthSpirit's Open Yule East, facilitated by a bunch of folks, including yours truly --
EarthSpirit invites you to attend its annual Winter Solstice Celebration.
Join us as we gather together to welcome the returning light to the Earth, and take part in a ritual celebrating the longest night and this cycle of the seasons. We come together to renew our connections and share the warmth of community.
The Winter Solstice, also known as Yule, is the holiday celebrating the rebirth of the Sun in the Pagan year. At this time of year many in the Northern Hemisphere gather together to rejoice at the beginning of the lengthening days.

(Open Yule West will be in Northampton on Sunday, with a different crew of facilitators and participants, for those who aren't able to get to Cambridge, Saturday...)
And Sunday -- a free evening of music at the Midway Cafe, Jamaica Plain --
I first saw Colleen, of the Jazz Trio, singing with James the Viking in October, when I went out to the Platypus Rex show at the Kirkland Cafe; and again later that weekend, singing with Ujamaa at the Midway's Halloween event. Described by one of my friends as that perfect combination of perky and intense, she's worth the trip....
Join me for dinner, beforehand? I'm thinking sushi, or korean, or indian, or...
