Yes, M. Night Shyamalan's twisty (OK, I haven't been entirely caught by any of his twists, yet... but he had one extra bit in this one which did catch me unprepared -- and that's a good thing).
Twanged away at the heartstrings.
I hadn't seen it before, and tripped over it last night.
Some of the key bits of the twisty (the Bad Color and the Safe Color and like that) were lost on me, because my TV has suddenly decided not to play in color at all -- so everything was shades of gray, to me (so unusual!)...
(Apparently, the color signal decoding board has blown, along with something in the main power circuitry [so when I turn it off, I have to pull the plug for 30 seconds before I can turn it on again], so I now have to dig the service manual out of the storage locker, and bring TV and service manual to someone local to see whether they can fix it for less than the cost of a comparable/better replacement unit... the special thing about this particular unit is that it's an international model handling PAL, SECAM, and both NTSC standards -- but I don't make much use of this feature, it just happened to be there when I acquired the TV from a friend who was moving to San Francisco...)
but the snippets of love interest that were buried in the twisty thriller were what got to me.
maybe now that I've scribbled about it, I can concentrate on work....
